Loretta Lynn Motocross - Saturday 2014

Sunday, August 3, 2014
Saturday, the final day of competition at Loretta Lynn’s 2014 Amateur Motocross Nationals, saw the remaining 17 classes wrap-up titles. The Seniors (45+) kicked-off the morning schedule with Kawasaki’s John Grewe registering his second-straight win in the class for the top-step overall. Grewe leaves Loretta’s with two titles this year, also taking the top overall spot in the Senior (40+) division later in the day.

The women’s division also ran during the morning, and Yamaha’s Mackenzie Tricker sealed up the overall win with a fifth-place result in Moto 3. Her biggest rival in this year’s event, Yamaha’s Kaitlyn Morrow, lost out on the opportunity to challenge for the title after taking a DNF in the final moto. Kawasaki’s Marissa Markelon finished second in the division followed by Brandy Richards, winner of Moto 3, in third.

Yamaha riders dominated the 450 A, B and C classes with Luke Renzland, Tristan Charboneau and Justin Boyd earning the top overall spots in each division, respectively. Renzland is the only one of the three not to sweep his class, finishing with a 3-1-1 result.

The 250 C class ended this year’s event, and Kawasaki’s Draken Jaynes leaves with the Number 1 plate in the division. His 1-4-2 result put him ahead of Boyd and Suzuki’s Nicholas Ronaldo, who finish second and third, respectively.
