Ben Bostrom Signs with Jordan Suzuki

Thursday, November 04, 2010
Ben Bostrom will campaign the 2011 American SuperBike series aboard a Suzuki as the 36-year-old rider signs with the National Guard-sponsored Michael Jordan Motorsports. The move quashes rumors placing the elder Bostrom aboard a Kawasaki, with his 2010 Pat Clark Motorsports team reputed to be switching to the brand after its long association with Yamaha.

Ben Bostrom signs with the National Guard-sponsored Michael Jordan Motorsports to campaign a Suzuki in American SuperBike for 2011.

Michael Jordan Motorsports will field an American Superbike entry piloted by 2009 Daytona 200 Winner and 2008 Super Sport Champion Ben Bostrom in the 2011 AMA Pro Racing National Guard Superbike Championship series.

“Signing Ben Bostrom is another incredible step in our quest for a Superbike Championship,” said Kreig Robinson, Michael Jordan Motorsports Vice President of Corporate Relations. “Ben’s work ethic and level of dedication, as well as the team’s further development of the Suzuki GSXR-1000 superbike brings us closer to attaining a winning combination.”

Bostrom, 36, finished fifth overall in the 2010 American Superbike Championship, visiting the podium eight times, with a win at Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. He is a native of Redding, California.

MJM is also pleased and proud to announce its continued partnership with the National Guard, again fielding a second AMA Pro Racing Superbike team with National Guard title sponsorship, in addition to its Jordan Suzuki team.

Yeah, cyclenews on Oct 20th reported what I said earlier. I wonder if Pat Clark is even going green now.

Ho-hum, I used to watch this series until it got REALLY LAME! Sure the racing is relatively close but most of the major manufacturers left it for dead and the teams still racing compete in front of at least one to two dozen fans... No big names racing, limited numbers of competitors, and too many options with other sports available = no turnout and a dying series.
TG -What?  November 5, 2010 09:09 AM
B Boz is going to Suzuki, away from Pat Clark - and E. Boz is coming into Pat Clark on a new Kawasaki. Is that right? I thought I read that Pat Clark was going to run three bikes (with one under a different name since there is some AMA ruling that all teams are a max of 2 riders) with the Boz bros and his son. Was I dreaming?
