The youngest member in the Hayden racing dynasty, Roger Lee has a total of 14 career wins and 38 podiums.
Michael Jordan Motorsports (MJM) is pleased to announce the signing of Roger Lee Hayden. Hayden will join new MJM rider Ben Bostrom as the team competes for the 2011 AMA Pro Racing National Guard Superbike championship.

Hayden, the youngest member of the famed Hayden racing dynasty, won the 2007 AMA Supersport Championship and returns to U.S. racing after a season on the World Superbike circuit and a Moto 2 wildcard entry at Indianapolis in 2010.

The 26-year-old Hayden boasts 14 career wins since 2004 and has visited the podium no fewer than 38 times in his professional career. He brings with him a renewed hunger to achieve and a desire to prove that he has what it takes to be a race winner.

“Signing Roger Lee bolsters our 2011 championship campaign,” said Kreig Robinson, MJM’s Vice President of Corporate Relations. “We’re excited to get him testing on our equipment as soon as possible. We know that Roger Lee is going to bring the intensity and our crew is ready to unleash his potential.”

“I’m so excited to be a part of Team Jordan! These guys have a great crew and I’m excited to get on the bike as soon as possible. I’m ready to show what I’m made of… It’s also good to be home, there’s no place like home,” said Hayden.

Hayden is a native of Owensboro, Kentucky.

MJM is continuing to monitor the recovery of Aaron Yates, who has decided to take the necessary time to allow his injured right leg to heal. After successful bone graft surgery in September, Yates is progressing better than expected, according to his doctors.

Well - I thought Rog & Kaw were going to have some big 2011 with the new bike & all, but it's probably good he cuts ties and moves on. The GSXRs are always capable of taking the championship. With some luck & good tuning he should be up in the order within the AMA paddock. The Hayden family remains a fan favorite.

So now who's riding the Kaws (Clark?) & are they factory or privateer?

I wonder what this means for Brett McCormick. He seemed to be steadily improving. Hopefully he can find a ride elsewhere.

Roger is closer to Nicky's level of riding rather than Tommy's... he performed better than most new WSB riders on the same poor machine! Roger wasn't any where near Ben Spies' rookie year performance in WSB but he's a hard talented rider. Let's hope he brings his speed from WSB back to the AMA series! Leaving a WSB machine to a AMA spec bike should be easier for him to be fast on tracks he's ridden on from years past. Now where is Jake going to end up?

The fact Roger's brother Tommy has been racing a Yoshimura Suzuki may help Roger adapt to a GSXR faster.

Don't see him being competitive no matter which team you put him on...my 2 cents

the word is, that if Aaron heals up, they want hi on the team. But they have to be prepared to race with a full squad so RLH is on board now. I believe if Yates heals up, they'll stick his crazy ass on a Superbike and be pretty stoked to have him.

sucks he couldnt get another ride for a WSBK team. He got stuck on a minimally funded team with a non competative zx10r. maybe he coulda ended up on the new zx10r and really shown his colors.

WOW, didn't expect this ! Ben Bostrom & Roger Hayden on Jordan Suzukis. Up to now riding on the Jordan team seems to be the end of a rider's pro-racing career. Wonder what's going to happen to Yates now after he heals up.

US pro-racing opportunities are hard to come by nowadays.
