Rain forced the cancellation of the first day of the AMA Pro Racing
Tire Test at Daytona International Speedway. The two-day test will resume Tuesday once conditions improve.
Rain spoiled the opening day of AMA Pro Racing testing at the resurfaced Daytona International Speedway.
The traditional opening of the season, the Dunlop Tire Test showcases AMA riders making their debuts on new machinery and teams. The Daytona testing will be even more critical than usual this year, as the track was resurfaced in off-season for the first time in 28 years.
A revised track schedule will see American SuperBike
take to the new surface at noon on Tuesday, with testing sessions planned for Daytona SportBike, SuperSport and Vance & Hines XR1200 classes.
The opening round of the 2011 AMA Pro Racing series will take place at Daytona on March 10-12. This season the Daytona 200 will be the finale of the Daytona schedule, starting at noon on Saturday.
