Elena Myers made history at Infineon last year as the first woman to win a AMA Pro Road Racing event.
According to
Elena Myers’ Twitter feed, the 17 year-old Suzuki racer has broken her left arm in a supermoto crash yesterday. The AMA Supersport West racer went down after a slower rider turned unexpectedly in front of her while exiting the track. The end result was a fractured radius putting her in a cast for the next few weeks. Myers will undoubtedly be absent for AMA Pro testing at Miller, but is hopeful to make the grid for Infineon.
Myers sits second in the AMA Pro Supersport West Points after one round behind LTD Yamaha’s David Gaviria. Round 2 of the
Motorcycle Superstore sponsored AMA Pro Supersport Series runs May 13-15 at Sonoma, California's, beautiful Infineon Raceway.
