Anthony West will return to the MotoGP series in 2012 aboard a CRT entry.
It has recently been confirmed that Speed Master will compete in the 2012 MotoGP
Championship as a CRT entry. The team will call upon the talent of 30-year-old Anthony West to pilot an Aprilia
engine in a chassis that has yet to be announced.
West previously contested the 2007 and 2008 MotoGP Championships with Kawasaki
, earning 15th and 18th, respectively. Since his debut in the premier class he has experienced little success, and for the past two seasons the Australian has been floundering in the Moto2 series with MZ Racing.
Leading the crew is Tommaso Raponi, who recently joined the team this past year. In addition, Speed Master will continue to field Andrea Iannone in the 2012 Moto2 series – this time with a FTR chassis in place of the Suter chassis the Italian took to third overall in 2011.
