This is a bike that set everyone back on their heels when the latest edition debuted last year, whether it was because of the mysterious 17,500-rpm redline or its drop-dead gorgeous looks.
The R6 has attractive instruments with a large and easy to read tach (that redlines at 16,500).

Shorter people, or perhaps those snarled in stop-and-go traffic, will grow to dislike the tall 33.4-inch seat height and a saddle that is broad but not plush.
The R6 may wait the longest to make its power, but when it does it hits hard. It feels like the biggest top-end punch, which is a sensation probably encouraged by the dearth of power below 10,000 rpm.
The R6 may not be the best overall, but it's the likely fit for the fast guys out there with its top-end hit.
With the widest bars offering strong leverage, the R6 takes the least energy when making steering transitions despite having chassis geometry similar to the Gixxer.

Check out those machined billet clip-on clamps.
The R6 reliably scampers around a racetrack, feeling at home in a place where you can let this bird scream.

You're looking at what is likely the best chassis among the 600s. It, and its lusty looks, help make a rider look good.
It matter little from what angle you see the R6 - they all are sweet.
But the R6 isn't really about catering to commuters or newbies. It's about being a supreme sporting machine - rationality be damned!
A lack of wind protection, tall seat hight and low-end-lacking motor don't bother a rider much on a racetrack, where the biggest horsepower number of the group can be felt.
Not just a looker, the R6 is one of the best friends you can have on a racetrack, providing you're willing to rev it out.
With its high-revving powerplant the new R6 is a trackday weapon.

An everyday commuter it is not, but the new R6 handles aggressive weekend riding just fine.
