The Factory Yamaha MotoGP squad recently wrapped up testing at the all-new Circuit of the Americas. Next up for Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi is the final official pre-season test at Jerez March 23-25. The team will reveal its 2013 livery the day prior.

Valentino Rossi is staying busy in the MotoGP off-season. Between the various tests aboard his new Yamaha mount, the Doctor is finding time to compete (and win) in the four-wheeled realm. Rossi took part in the 2012 Monza Rally Show, piloting a #46 WRC Ford Fiesta to victory in the Stage Rally and then once again in the Master Show.

A Fender Stratocaster guitar belonging to musician Martin Finnigan, leader of the British group “Rainband,” is up for auction on Ebay with its sale benefiting the foundation set up for the departed MotoGP competitor.

Good morning from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The fog is pretty heavy this morning so the first Motorcycle-Superstore.com practice was cancelled. The third and final MotoGP practice is going on right now with Steve Rapp and another European rider the only guys to be circulating right now. The other riders are all waiting for the fog to subside some more before heading out on track.

It’s almost time for the annual Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix taking place at northern California’s Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Since ’05, Yamaha has played in a big part in making the event possible and it has a special treat for 600 fans.
Each morning it will be giving away a limited-issue chalet pass to the first 200 Yamaha riders donning an piece of Tuning Fork apparel along with the key to their motorcycle.
