2013 Brammo Empulse Recall Notice

Wednesday, May 29, 2013
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a recall notice for certain 2013 model year Brammo Empulse electric motorcycles. According to the notice, a high current cable was attached to the motor controller incorrectly and poses a risk of electrical shorting.

Five units are potentially affected by the issue, which can cause a loss of power while riding or a fire, both of which increase the risk of a crash and personal injury. Brammo will contact owners of the affected models and will have technicians inspect the cable to correct any installation errors. Customers may contact Brammo directly at 541-482-9555.

Owners may also contact the NHTSA for more information at 1-888-327-4236 or go to www.safecar.gov. The campaign id for the Brammo recall is 13V208000.

"5 units are potentially affected by the issue". Doesn't seem worth making headlines...
