2007 Supersport Shootout V
The four stars of our 2007 Supersport Shootout - GSX-R600, CBR600RR, ZX-6R, YZF-R6.

Kenny leads the rest of us into temptation but delivers us from evil.
Four guys swapping rides on the latest 600s. Yeah, there's worse ways to make a living.
So-Cal canyons are the perfect place to test the capabilities of the latest crop of Supersports.
Followin the leader.
One thing we can't complain about in our job is a lack of beautiful scenery.
2006 Honda CBR600RR project bike with graphics was turning some laps next to the latest and greatest from Japan.
We see a convergent design theory at work. A centrally located ram-air intake flanked by a pair of squinty headlights.
If you want wheelies, you want the CBR.
Engaging in hooligan behavior aboard these sleek 600s on Southern California's twistiest stretches of asphalt. It's a hard job, but somebody's got to do it.
Latigo Canyon is a favorite stretch for So-Cal riders. For us Oregonians, it was quite a memorable ride.
Four bikes and a lot of miles. We took turns flogging the latest crop of Japanese supersports on both the street and track to determine the winner of our fifth Supersport Shootout.
Riding bikes is fun.
Riding this quartet on the street after our track session brought out new impressions about each bike.
Just a couple hours outside of the worst traffic imaginable, Southern California has some of the twistiest roads around.
The Triumph Daytona 675 one bot the street and track portions of last year's Supersport Shootout. We'll pit the Triumph against this year's winner in a head-to-head faceoff.
Duke: "C'mon, Kenny, we've got work to do."
It's not just that the Honda has the most torque, it's that it has more almost everywhere. The R6 comes in unfashionably late.
Maybe we've spent too much time around L.A., but the ZX probably feels a little chunky in this crowd.
The CBR and R6, though with identical E.T.s, went about it in completely different ways. The Honda comes off the line strong and without drama, while the YZF is all revs and clutch abuse.
Three bikes run neck and neck until 6500 rpm when the CBR jumps ahead and doesn't get challenged again for another 6000 revs.
BC: 'Man, I wish I had Duke's job!' Duke: 'Man, I wish I had BC's paycheck!' Kenny: "Man, I wish I used a condom!'
Kenny, Duke and BC realizing why 50-hour work-weeks aren't so bad.
The GSX-R600 and YZF-R6 are unchanged for 2007 while both the CBR and ZX feature ground up redesigns. The question is: Which bike is the one for you?
