Tastromans photo of his Buell Ulysses ready to embark on five days of riding has punchy colors and high contrast creating a dreamlike scene.
The road stretching out in front of Tastroman's Buell Ulysses invites the viewer to imagine what lies at the end of the asphalt.
This Friday’s Photo of the Week comes to us from rolling, green hills of Meadows of Dan, Virginia. Tastroman’s photo of his Buell Ulysses all geared up with five days of road stretched out to the horizon stirs the longing in my soul for epic road trips. The composition of his image is great, with the bike on the right pointing towards the road that meanders through the scene. It makes the viewer want to find out what is over that next hill. Punchy colors and high contrast make Tastroman’s creation dream-like and vibrant. For that he is now in the hunt for the $500 dollar shopping spree from EVS Sports as Photo of the Year.

For this week’s moto-photo tip, one of the simplest ways to add some excitement to your action shots is to tilt the camera away from horizontal. This tip is 100% not for scenic or landscape shots as those should always be spot on level. When shooting a bike coming through a corner, however, tilting the camera is one of the most common tricks of the trade. You can make a rider look like they are leaned over

Tilting your view finder to left or right just slightly adds an extra element of excitement to your riding photos.
further or add some tension by making the corner seem to be off-camber. Just don’t get to crazy with your angles; you want it to be believable and not confusing to the viewer as to where the subject is coming from and going to.

So that’s it for this week; get out there and get shooting. I’ll be looking for some sweet shots from your Fourth of July riding holidays, so extra credit for those that submit their patriotic riding images.
