This was entertaining. I think all those bike are way out most peoples skill level. But, who's talking about that right? I do think it's weird how they voted the BMW #1, but the Honda was fastest and by their statements.. and almost perfect motorcycle. Hmm, idk. Maybe they voted it best b/c all the electronic stuff. They seem to be big fans of that. I prefer bike with more character.. like the Ducati or Aprilia. Still, I like the shoot-outs.
sandmacker - gixer magic   November 5, 2010 08:11 AM
The bike handled so well on factory settings .So versatile, comfortable . Good power A bike for everyone , and yet it didn't cut it ? As for the looks , 90% will get after market cans , and that in a sense was their only gripe . In given respect , they do grow on you. Balanced comes to mind
Norm. L - Horse power is over rated!!  September 12, 2010 09:54 PM
I watched your track test over and over again and just couldn't be satisfied with the result of the BMW. A fast bike is based on how fast it takes a turn. Yes the BMW's power is impressive but makes no diffrence in the turn. Thus why the honda which has the same amount of mass, makes almost 30 less hp was faster. The ability to stick the turns at high speeds is key. I feel the yamaha is a wolf in sheeps clothing. example ben spies, crocthlow, josh hayes, even ben bostrom. In there world the BMW is run up! Nothing like a bike that makes you feel fast! my top two the cbr1000rr and the R1 easy to ride fast.

Muska - -zx6r upgrading to a 1K  August 31, 2010 11:42 PM
Excellent review and nice website btw! I love how you focused on the sound of each bike when you mentioned it in the video. Maybe some more of that with boom mikes right in the exhaust pipes....awe music to my ears! Now...to the nearnest BMW dealership ---->
JM - cbr  August 31, 2010 07:07 PM
i think cbr1000rr is more better than the s1000 because it more better performance on the race specially on acceleration....
anonimous - ???  July 12, 2010 11:16 AM
you f'ed this up! max biaggi rides a RSV4 and it's the first in SBK. BMW first??? bmw makes cars not motorcycles.
zino - skywrider  June 23, 2010 10:09 PM

dan - shoot out  June 10, 2010 06:27 AM
the honda is the fastest on the track but it gets 2nd? i think bmw is giving peaple money to talk good about it and rate it first. if the honda had 20hp more what would happen then? honda does the most with the least- that honda!
Mr.CBR - HONDA  June 8, 2010 03:59 PM
As a 09 honda CBR owner I think that the CBR is the better bike out of this group. If it is missing almost 20hp, why is it still turning a better lap time than the beamer? I admit the the BMW is a really good bike but racing is about turning in the best time... isnt it?
John T. - Got cash  June 2, 2010 05:45 PM
Why oh why do so many people bitch about price of the Ducatis? You can afford one or you can't. Just review the bikes, the people will sort out the prices for themselves.

KMN 08 Fireblade - Excellent Review  May 13, 2010 08:28 AM
This review was spot on, but as a owner of a 08 cbr 1000 I have to say that I am definitely a big fan of the cbr. You guys nailed the fact that the cbr does need more character however. The newcomer BMW looks awesome, but one thing that I wonder is with a fully loaded BMW costing significantly more than the Honda and having a slower lap time shouldn't they be somewhat tied? Hats off to BMW this year though for making an awesome bike that can handle almost any situation.
Erick-DUC! - Duc  May 11, 2010 02:44 PM
nothing rides like a Ducati...i love Hondas as well..but nothing iv ever been on rides like one, sounds like one, and feels like one. the only bad thing is that price tag...but hey, sometimes you pay for the name, just like a Ferrari. really great review and this was a great and fair test though
unclewill - Interesting  May 10, 2010 01:13 PM
to compare your test results vs Master Bike. Few have noticed a big difference between the RSV4R and Factory versions but it must show on the track. The CBR1000rr is the real hero here for whooping up on the mighty BMWs track time without all the electronics helping out - was the combined ABS version tested? The Duc may be a ringer but a loaded BMW ain't cheap either. Well done.
Jeremy S. - Great Job  May 10, 2010 11:34 AM
I like to catch these reviews from every publication out there, and i am never disappointed. This years review was the best i have seen yet. The fact that you guys add the video to the story is even better. I get a chance to ride a lot of bikes (my friends and i seem to be always trading our rides in.) and i have to say that your reviews cover all the big points. I am still hooked on the ZX-10R myself. Mine is an 08' and it has got to be one of the slickest, smoothest, and most powerful bikes i have ever had the opportunity to ride. I have nothing against any other brand but i am always rooting for the Kawasaki in these reviews. Keep up the great work fellas.
fastrr - honda!!!  May 10, 2010 09:28 AM
