2012 Lake Elsinore MX Press Day in Photos

Friday, September 7, 2012
The final round of the Lucas Oils AMA Motocross Nationals is this weekend at Lake Elsinore Motocross Park in Southern California. We headed out to press day to get a glimpse of what we might see this weekend. Our heads were spinning when we showed up and the track was twice its normal size and the jumps were huge. This just got us even more amped for Saturday’s racing. Check out some of the photos we snapped while the riders headed out on track for the first time.
The jumps at the Lake Elsinore track are big…like REALLY big!

My son & I went to the national outdoor race this weekend at Lake Elsinore. The racing was great, the track was awesome, But, the promoter/track management SUCKS big time. It was such a money grab by these folks. At every turn, they wanted more $$$. My son wanted to race the amateur race on Sun. So he and I loaded up the motorhome, his race bike and pre purchased a camping site for $150.00. We got to the track at 9:00 PM on Thurs. and were informed that we had to pay for the entire weekend, including Thurs. Bunch of BS having to pony up for Thurs. Then the $150.00 sites are as far from the track as you can be and still be in the same facility. General admission parking on Sat. was closer. And no using ANY form of personal transportation was allowed. Pit, bikes, street legal bikes, carts, nada, unless you happen to be in someones’ favor as there were scores of carts and other non official track vehicles which were allowed to roam at will. Then on race day, we went over to see the start of the 1st 250 race and were informed that we couldn’t go to that area as we hadn’t purchased the #4 wrist band. WTF!!! I pay $70.00 each for my son & I to see the races & it doesn’t include seeing the start??? Absolute BS!! We snuck in when the A$$ hole turned his head and saw it anyway. I know the investors are looking for a return on their investment but some of these tactics are completely out of line. Allisports, will not get another dime from me. I’m sure I’ll not be the only one.

And the best part? No JS7 to cry and whine and pull off the track when he is getting beat down by Dungy!
