The lush Oregon backdrop is a nice change of pace for Duke and the gang.
The Duca tail is certainly trick, but it does sorta look like a toaster.
The CBR tail is a bit more integrated than the 749's but it could be better.
The GSX-R600 tail is a good looking unit, especially with the solo seat cowling in place.
The Ninja tail features angular lines throughout, including the tailight.
The Yamaha tail is the most subtle and frankly it looks very trick.
2004 Kawasaki ZX-6R - Another Ninja with an unfair advantage over the competition.

As usual, Ken and Kevin discuss what shot they want the most.
The group rides revealed one certain thing about the R6 in particular - that bike is soooo smooth.
On the street the Ducati has the motor that everyone seemed to love.
The blue and white version of the GSX-R600 looks so sweet in the sunlight. It even makes a guy like Kev feel like a million bucks!
Chamberlain was reunited with the R6 during the street ride portion of our tests. Despite that BC used and abused the R6 before chucking her down the road, she still loves him.
Kevin and the ZX were a perfect match on the street.
Once again, Ken found himself liking the CGR on the street despite the top-end heavy power delivery.
The GSX-R600 posted a 10.92 @ 130.2 mph quarter mile time.
The GSX-R600 provides plenty of low end grunt with it's 44.5 ft. lbs. of torque at 11,000rpm.
The CBR600RR posted a 11.11 @ 128.6 mph quarter mile time.
You can't tell from this picture but Kevin really enjoyed riding the CBR.
The fastest time of the test belonged to the ZX-6R. A 10.77 @ 132.1 mph just beat the Gixxer's best effort.
The 45.3 ft. lbs. of torque at 11,200 rpm made monster wheelie a snap with the ZX.
The little black Duc certainly posted a respectable run at 11.51 @ 123.0 mph.
Yeah, Kevin likes Duc torque. You didn't know that? How does 54.9 ft. lbs. at 8,600 rpm grab ya baby!
The Yamaha R6 put on a decent display during our quarter mile runs with a 11.03 @ 130.7 mph best pass.
The Yamaha R6 is a wolf in sheeps clothing as we would find out at the drag strip.

Korf said he really enjoyed the Ducati Dark in the mountains but he had nothing good to say about riding it on the highway.
Wallace reported that the R6 was one of the bikes he would choose if he was looking for a track weapon.
We cannot tell you how much Duke raved about the ZX - we barely got a chance to ride the thing so we sent him back to Cali.
The CBR600RR just needs a few tweaks and it will be a serious contender.
These bad boys attract a load of attention while refueling in Prospect, Ore.
