Tyler O'Hara earned his third XR1200 win this season after a hard-fought battle at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Bartel’s Harley-Davidson’s Tyler O’Hara took his third Vance & Hines XR1200 win of the season at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Sunday. KLR Group’s Kyle Wyman jumped up to second in the final lap of the race, pushing past MOB Racing’s Michael Barnes, who rounded out the podium. The three-rider battle for the podium was heated throughout the contest, each rider holding the lead at various points and coming across the finish within just fractions of a second of one another.

Harv’s Harley-Davidson’s Travis Wyman trailed over 11 seconds behind Barnes in fourth, and XP Motorsports’ Michael Corbino took fifth. Ruthless Racing’s David Estok challenged Corbino up to the checkers for the five-spot, but was unable to get past and settled for sixth. Suburban Harley-Davidson’s Benjamin Carlson earned seventh with Barnes’ MOB Racing teammate Shane Narbonne coming across the finish in eighth.

"Kyle was out front and got a great start and I kind of reeled him in and got by him. Barney was all over me the whole race. Both of these guys were riding awesome. Hats off to them. I definitely had to earn it today," said O'Hara after the contest.

O’Hara is now tied with Kyle Wyman at three wins apiece, but O’Hara retains the points lead thanks to a number of bonus points he’s earned over the course of the season so far. The top three riders at Mid-Ohio have been nearly untouchable through the seven rounds of XR1200 action this season, regularly building large gaps on fourth placed riders.

Kyle Wyman and Barnes remain in second and third respectively. Corbino and Estok stay steady in fourth and fifth, separated by just two points. Travis Wyman got closer to Estok, cutting the gap from nine going into the Mid-Ohio round to six.
