Josh Hayes (1) scored the SuperBike Race 2 win at New Jersey ahead of teammate Josh Herrin (2).

remained untouchable in AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike Race 2 at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Hayes’ teammate Josh Herrin
came through in second, over 8 seconds behind, followed by National Guard Jordan Suzuki’s Roger Hayden
"To be able to stretch away and pull away like that... just having pace on people -- that's what racing is all about," said Hayes. "I like it and I'm working really hard and having fun.
"It's a big testament to my crew and how hard they've worked. It makes the hard work I've been doing at home feel like a big payoff. I'm glad I'm able to do this for my team."
Hayes and Herrin moved got into the front early, but while the Mississippi native was building a slight gap on the field, Herrin had to contend with Team Amsoil/Hero’s Geoff May
in third. May stayed within a second of Herrin through the opening laps. The EBR rider ran into trouble nearing the mid-race point and crashed out of the contest. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Blake Young
moved up to third and worked to keep Hayden from advancing, but was unsuccessful. Jordan Suzuki’s Ben Bostrom
spent much of the race moving through the pack after coming through in 15th after Lap 1. He rallied and got to fifth, just 0.058 behind Young at the checkers.

held to sixth in the face of heavy pressure from Riders Discount’s Taylor Knapp. Team Hero’s Danny Eslick came in eighth, followed by Foremost Insurance’s Larry Pegram and KTM’s Chris Fillmore in ninth and 10th respectively.
Hayes has a 98 point lead on Young, who is holding steady in second. Herrin trails Young by 93 in third and Hayden sits in fourth. May is fifth overall with Pegram just behind in sixth.
