An updated take on an old concept, the adventures on this new Trumpet adventure-tourer will take place on the pavement and not the dirt.
It may have lost some of its off-road styling, but we don't think Trumpet fans will be complaining about its distinctive angular look.

At about six-feet tall, Bayly wished the windshield was either a llittle higher or lower as his head was fully in the breeze and subject to a fair amount of buffeting.
The inline 1050cc Triple produces a claimed 114 horsepower at 9,400 rpm.
Rolling down the interstate, the Tiger tended to perform in its sweet spot, between 4,000-5,000 rpm at a speed of 65-80 mph.
The Tiger's lines for 2007 are sharper and more street-focused than Tigers of yore.
Strap on some of the Tiger's available soft luggage accessories and you're ready to hit the open road on the adventure-touro.
Here Bayly does his best impersonation of Evil Knievel.
Bayly was able to cut acute angles through the turns thanks to a well-balanced chassis.
The Tiger is fine for zipping around town, but to get a better feel of what the bike has to offer head out to the country with a full tank of gas and open it up.
With a seat height of 32.8 inches, Bayly said the ergonomics were excellent if you like the standard sit-up-straight riding position.

The braced, twin-sided aluminum alloy swingarm is a new addition to the 2007 Triumph Tiger.
The Tiger's looks continue to evolve from its original Paris/Dakar off-road racing styling to a more street-minded machine.

Triumph techs chose a minimilast cockpit layout with an analog tach and small central digital speedo.
The large, high exit exhaust kept the Tiger's roar to a minimal. Bayly noticed more noise coming up through the fairing openings than out of the muffler.
Up front the Tiger has twin Nissin 320mm floating discs with four-piston radial calipers that Bayly claims is plenty strong enough to lilft the rear wheel when showboating for the sportbike boys.
The Tiger powerplant is a 1050cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, in-line 3 with plenty of torque and impressive amounts of horsepower.
