
BMW has announced the U.S. pricing for its redesigned R1200GS at $15,800. A complete redesign, featuring a water-cooled version of the Boxer Twin, the new GS base model retails for less than its predecessor (priced at $16,150). The 2013 model will be available in US dealers in March.
The Bavarian marque also announced pricing for various accessory packages of its best-selling GS. The Standard Package includes heated grips, cruise control and saddlebag mounts for $16,600.
The $17,990 Premium Package GS includes the base amenities plus the Touring Package ($1450) and Active Package ($740). The Premium model features the new electronics package, including all-new Dyanamic ESA and Enduro ASC and Riding Modes, as well as touring friendly amenities like heated grips and GPS mount.
Premium Plus Package rings in at $18,870. It includes base equipment plus Comfort Package ($620) and Dynamic Package ($2100). The Plus gets riders all the Premium features, plus, tire pressure monitors and LED headlight.
The 2013 GS will be offered in four colorways: Fire Blue, Racing Red, Thunder Gray Metallic and Alpine White.
