2016 Honda RC213V-S
The 2016 Honda RC213V-S model is a premium sportbike with a limited quantity set to be sold in the United States. This is the road going version of the RCV race bike and is made the same way as the factory bike. Power will come from a 999cc 90-degree V-4 with titanium connecting rods and a sand-case aluminum crankcase. Engineers have endeavored to centralize mass as much as possible and the RC213V-S will feature an under-the-seat fuel tank and the plastic fairing is reinforced with carbon fiber. Parts which were directly taken from Honda’s race bike include the swingarm, slipper clutch, magnesium Marchesini wheels (17-inch), Ohlins fork and adjustable footrest and foot controls along with Brembo braking components. On the electronic side, the RC213V-S features selectable power modes, engine-brake control, traction control and position-detection technology which the company developed through its ASIMO project. The limited-production RC213V-S will be available in HRC Tricolor of Carbon Fiber colorways.
Honda has announced its MotoGP-derived RC213V-S will go into production and be available for purchase in 2016.
