MotoConcepts Racing will be returning to the 2013 season in full force with its new title sponsor Smartop, giving them the official name of MotoConcepts Smartop Racing for the upcoming Supercross/Motocross season.
The MotoConcepts Smartop Racing Team held a team introduction on Friday and Lucas Oil MX Park. Team owner, Mike Genova, introduced the riders of the team as well as the new title sponsor. Smartop is an innovative spa cover said to replace standard hot tub covers and last a lifetime. The new sponsor brings a new look to the team for 2013. The team colors are now white and red.
The team is made up of Mike Alessi, competing in the premier 450 class while Jake Canada takes the reigns in the 250 West class both competing in outdoors as well. The East 250 rider is Gavin Faith with a supercross only contract.
The plan was to have an introduction and then an opportunity to shoot the riders on the Supercross track but due to rain, all we got were some parking lot 12 o’clock wheelies from the trio.

Meet the 2013 MotoConcepts Smartop Racing Team.

Mike Alessi is back for another year with the team.

Gavin Faith, all about his 12 O'clock-ers.

The was the only dirt action we were able to get due to rain flooding the supercross track.
