Sturgis Mayor Unveils 75th Logo

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 75th logo has been unveiled.
The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 75th logo has been unveiled for 2015.
Sturgis Mayor Mark Carstensen along with numerous SMRi board members and city council members unveiled the official 75th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally™ logo on Wednesday August 6th at noon on Main Street. The unveiling was attended by hundreds of riders, motorcycle media and local business owners.

“For the 75th we knew we needed iconic branding and logo. We wanted rally goers and citizens to be able to see how much thought we are putting into next year. It will be a great rally. ” Said Sturgis Mayor Mark Carstensen.

The unveiling of this logo marks the beginning of preparation for the most anticipated motorcycle rally of all time, the 75th anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally™. With legendary roots in the Black Hills the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally™ is the worlds largest and the 75th is sure have attendance in the range of 500,000. The logo for such a legendary event as a 75th anniversary needed to be iconic, memorable and pull in elements of the original Sturgis logo. The logo was produced by official licensed merchandiser Hot Leathers. The 75th logo exemplifies all of that and will be emblazoned on official 75th anniversary merchandise and available only through officially licensed merchandise retailers.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, inc. (SMRi) is a South Dakota not-for-profit organization with no owners or shareholders and a volunteer board. The group’s primarily responsibilities are to promote, grow and strengthen the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and provide a charitable return for the greater Sturgis area through the development of a licensing program related to the Sturgis® Motorcycle Rally.
