I just went to Milams to see what's going on. As of July 2010 Milam's has new management with new employees and are taking over the business as "new ownership" as soon as they can get the licenses changed into the new owners name. They are doing a great job so far to try to build the business back to what it was in it's prime. Keeping the family business feel and friendship, while staying in line pricewise with the big competitors.(which I know we all will enjoy saving the gas money to go elsewhere!!) They are still building the inventory up because when I went they had only been cranking for like 3 weeks. They have repainted in and out and put new flooring down inside. It's already looking a MILLION times better and should really be up and rolling in no time. There is also a business plan to move the shop out to White Hall where they will have a 5000+sq.ft. brand new showroom, with a 1950's style diner inside to grab a burger for lunch while you gear up for your ride! I really look forward to another successful business in the area offering something to do around here, bringing in riders from all over!
