Honda 50 cub

After cannibalization of two motors finally got the Honda cub running good. The original motor didn't have a breather on the crankcase, rather on the clutch cover were the oil dip stick is. So had to use a newer version. The race cam is in, along with the big bore kit, making it 59cc. After a break in will have to see if it will beat the 150cc Chinese scooter.

For the past five years I've owned a 50cc Chinese copy of a Honda Cub sort of. It's a blast. Last Summer I took it on two 80 mile rides. I saw 55 mph on it's speedo on a level road. It wasn't even breathing hard.

Most of my parts come from China and appear to be good quality. I can get more parts for the old Honda 50 than my ZX-14 at a reasonable price. At one point, stock pistons weren't available for the Kawasaki.

I'll tell you this. If Chinese scooters were as solid as my clone the Japanese would be in deep doo doo. In five years it's only dropped two screws, blown one tail light bulb and worn out a Chinese battery.
