Awesome. I had a guy offer to pay for my circuit license and lend me a suit and back protector to get me out on my first track day. Now I am hopelessly addicted. I am going crazy waiting for the shop to finish up my new (to me) R6 track bike.

That is AWSOME! Not every day you get an offer like that. Have a great time and be safe out there.

It's something experienced riders do all the time.
In my case it was giving $800 worth of gear to my new rider friend a few years back.
Somehow, and I don't know how, the custom Bates jacket I had made for me almost 30 years ago seemed to have "shrunk" and needed a new owner!

Have fun.

Of course, fun was had.

I haven't yet reviewed my GoPro footage but I don't have high hopes for that. I didn't take any photos. There wasn't much time to. I did see some of the samples from the pro photographer that was there and they looked good. Will probably order some from him tonight. One thing I learned from those photos (and something the instructor said) my body position still needs work. For one I am not tucking as well as I should and I need to get my body off to the side more.
The Diablo Rossos worked wonderfully. Both were brand new. Had ~160 miles on the front and 2 miles on the back. Didn't quite edge the tire but it's dang close. Traction was not a problem even in the cold morning. Well traction was a bit of the problem but it wasn't the tire's fault. I inadvertently dabbed the back brake when I was leaned over in a turn. No worries - the back end kicked out a bit but the bike stayed rubber side down.
