Mark Haldane's Page

I'm born and raised Alaskan. My dad is a full blood Tsimshian Indian from Metlakatla on Annette Is, the only Indian Reservation in Alaska. My mom is from Independence MO, the Old Missouri Trail. Thus making me 1/2 Indian, 1/2 cowboy! ; ) I've been motorcycling many years, having got my start in the dirt. I remember thinking back then that I'd prolly never even own a street bike in AK since I thought (back then) that the riding season was so short. I became Ducatisti in 1999 when I got a Ducati 748 Biposto which one of my brothers now rides. I got back into the dirt when I got my KLR 650 dualsport back in '05 so I could hang with my ADVrider brethren. I've also been riding said KLR with studded tires for 5 winters now. I love talking motorcycles and Alaska and have helped many riders plan their trips up to The Greatland. Fun! Later, Mark H.
