- KTM's Ryan Dungey started the main in sixth but spend most of the race overtaking Davi Millsaps and Justin Brayton. He eventually finished fourth.
- Cole Seely: "I thought I had that one. I started to get into a rhythm and feeling really good. It's a bummer I slid out but I'm still happy with second. It's great any time you can be on the podium because I get to thank the Troy Lee Designs team and all the people who have helped me get here."
- James Stewart: "To get second tonight was actually pretty good considering how the heat race went and how beat up I feel right now. It [the crash] knocked the wind out of me, and hurt my ribs and my wrist - so I’ll be sore tomorrow and probably Monday. But we’ll be back. It’s nothing we can’t handle, but I was just trying to get through the race from there."
- Eli Tomac: "We got the turkey - three in a row. You never expect that to happen because it's so tough out here but the GEICO Honda is running strong and my riding has been there. Once I figured out my starts, the wins started coming."
- Ryan Dungey: "I am not pleased to finish off the podium for a second weekend in a row. I had a better start in the main event this weekend but I struggled to make my passes and allowed those guys to move ahead. I will continue to work on my starts for next weekend and make sure I get my KTM back on the podium to remain in the points chase for the championship."
- TwoTwo Motorsports' Chad Reed (above) got another great start in the main at Anaheim but couldn't hold off Ryan Villopoto or James Stewart.
- Marvin Musquin: "I really focused on my starting technique this week during my training. I have struggled at a few rounds with poor starts and it makes it too hard to come through the pack when I don’t put myself in good position from the start.”

- Eli Tomac: "Seely got around me on that second straightaway and the chase was on. We kind of yo-yo'ed for the first few laps. I would push him, then he was pulling me. We were very close. Then he made his mistake and I got around him. From there I just knew I needed to ride solid and I could get the win."
- After five rounds of racing Ryan Villopoto currently leads the 2012 championship by just three points. In comparison, RV was trailing James Stewart by five points after Round 5 in the 2011 series.

- Honda's Justin Brayton finished fifth at Anaheim 2 and posted good defense against Ryan Dungey for much of the 20-lap main.

- Star Valli Yamaha's Nico Izzi had a solid start at Angel Stadium inside the top-three and eventually nabbed fifth at the checkers in one of his best performances so far this season.

- JGR Yamaha's Davi Millsaps had a standoff in Round 5 with Kevin Windham for sixth. He had to settle for seventh at the finish - leaving him ninth in the overall series.
- Matt Moss: "This is definitely not where I wanted to finish tonight. But after suffering a poor start, I am happy with how I rode through the pack and the passes I was able to make. Next week I need to improve my starts and battle in the front of the pack at the beginning of the race."
- KTM's Marvin Musquin (above) held off Dean Wilson for the final podium spot at Angel Stadium.
- Chad Reed (above) lost another battle with James Stewart but remains just three points shy of Villopoto.

- Ryan Villopoto (No. 1) got a nice jump on the field at A2 and was able to lead all 20 laps to put himself back at the top of the standings.
- TLD Honda's Cole Seely was looking good for his second win at Anaheim this season before sliding out in the early laps.
- Cole Seely (No. 34) took the holeshot in the Lites main but washed out in the early laps. He recovered and eventually finished in second though, and now remains five points behind Marvin Musquin.

- JGR Yamaha's James Stewart had a solid ride in second to keep him in the title hunt.

- Eli Tomac won his third consecutive race in Anaheim and has taken a decisive lead in the West Coast Lites series.
- Ryan Villopoto is back on the path toward defending his crown after becoming the first repeat winner in 2012.
- Kawasaki's Dean Wilson lost major ground to Eli Tomac at Anaheim 2 after finishing off the podium for the second week in a row.
